Mantel Haenszel Rate Ratios
The following excel file contains a boiler-plate table for computing Mantel-Haenszel adjusted rate ratios (RRs) based on event counts and person-time from age and sex (5-year) buckets. Once your follow-up time has been carved up and summarized to the age and sex categories, just populate the colored cells in the exposed and unexposed tables. The method and SAS code for carving person-time will be added to the site soon. The formulas will automatically produce the adjusted RRs and confidence intervals as well as the crude rates and RRs.
